Dr. Danilo De Oliveira Silva is a physiotherapist and senior lecturer at the La Trobe University School of Allied Health, Human Services and Sport. His research focuses on the biomechanical, psychological, and pain-related characteristics of individuals living with knee conditions throughout their lives. His doctoral thesis was awarded the CAPES 2020 prize for the best PhD thesis in Brazil, the most prestigious award granted by the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
Danilo has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, primarily focusing on individuals suffering from chronic knee pain. He serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation and BMC Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Danilo is also passionate about translating research findings into practice and sharing his work with the wider community.
